BATON ROUGE - Students in third, fourth, and fifth grades received laptops from a charity foundation for Christmas this year.

100 students at Claiborne Elementary received laptops from the James M. Cox Foundation, named after the founder of Cox Communications. The laps are for personal use and are meant to be tools to help students have what they need to succeed in the digital age of education.

“We are proud to work with the Foundation for East Baton Rouge School System, the James M. Cox Foundation, and PCs
for People to make this opportunity a reality for our students,” said LaMont Cole, EBRPSS Superintendent. “This
collaboration helps advance digital inclusion and creates brighter futures for our young learners.”
