Woman who drowned in Livingston Parish, sister of CNN TV host
UPDATE: Officials have confirmed that the woman who died is the sister of CNN anchor Don Lemon of Port Allen.
Lemon's family released the following statement Thursday afternoon:
The Lemon/Grimes family would like to thank everyone for their condolences and prayers at this time. Our family has suffered the tragic loss of L’Tanya “Leisa” Lemon Grimes and we are leaning on each other for strength at this time. We appreciate privacy as we grieve the loss of our loved one.

DENHAM SPRINGS – A person drowned in a neighborhood pond Wednesday.
The person was found off Iberia Drive in the Livingston Trace subdivision south of the Juban Road exit on I-12. First responders and the coroner were on scene before 5 o'clock.
The victim has been identified as 58-year-old L'tanya Grimes of Denham Springs.
The sheriff's office said it appears she may have tripped and fell into the water while fishing. No foul play is suspected at this time.
