BATON ROUGE - Police have arrested a woman after she allegedly shot and killed her fiancé during a domestic violence incident in August.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the shooting occurred around Aug.20 at an apartment complex the 2100 block of North Lobdell Boulevard. Police say 38-year-old Joseph Bunch III was fatally shot by 26-year-old Jimeelah Crockett.
According to posts from Crockett's Facebook page, the two were engaged before the incident.
Police announced Crockett's arrest Thursday, noting that she will be charged with second-degree murder.
