Vehicle catches fire after crash on Greenwell Springs Road in Central

CENTRAL - A vehicle caught fire after a crash on Greenwell Springs Road, according to the Central Police Department.

The crash took place between Lighthouse Avenue and Wax Road. A driver was transported to the burn unit at a local hospital, a spokesman with the Central Police Department said.

Police say the road is open as of 3:30 p.m.
