SORRENTO – State traffic officials say the planned closure of both I-10 eastbound lanes at US 61 has been postponed.

According to a statement released by DOTD Wednesday, the full interstate closure was planned for Friday, Jan. 13 at 9 p.m. Crews were planned to remove the damaged section of the bridge for the westbound on ramp onto I-10 from US 61.

Officials say the closure will be rescheduled for a later date.
