BATON ROUGE- A teacher at Scotlandville High sent a video clip to WBRZ Tuesday afternoon of what the employee, who asked that their identity not be released, said was an administrator at the school using a stick to hit a student while trying to break up a fight.

A district spokesperson would not comment specifically on the video, but said the school principal is on paid leave pending an investigation of an incident at the Scotlandville campus Monday.

"We are investigating... The principal has been placed on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of the investigation."
