PHOTOS: Car catches fire at gas station on Old Hammond Highway
BATON ROUGE - Firefighters were called to a gas station at the intersection of Old Hammond Highway and O'Neal Lane after a vehicle caught fire Tuesday evening.
The blaze started sometime around 5:30 p.m. Photos from the scene show flames and heavy smoke at a corner service station.
According to the East Side Fire Department, the vehicle was about 30 to 40-feet away from fuel pumps when the flames broke out. Crews were able to contain the fire within ten minutes.
No injuries were reported.
