BANGOR, Maine – A photo of a Maine teen with autism sitting alone at her own 18th birthday party has gone viral.

The photo was taken at Hallee Sorenson's birthday party last year. The Facebook post states that Hallee was excited to celebrate her 18th birthday party with her friends, however no one showed up to the party.

Hallee's cousin, posted the photo of Hallee on Facebook on June 7th.

Rebecca is now asking Facebook to send Hallee birthday cards for this year. She describes her cousin as a beautiful young woman.

"Hallee is an amazing person-a person I am proud to be related to. She is also a person who just happens to have Autism," her cousin wrote in the post.

Rebecca says that Halle loves getting mail and the cards would be the best gift she could ask for.
