Police identify pedestrian struck in deadly Florida Blvd. crash
BATON ROUGE - A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Florida Blvd Thursday night.
Sources say the incident happened around 8:15 p.m. on Florida Blvd. near Wooddale Drive. Baton Rouge Police say 71-year-old Dwight Fox died at the scene after being struck by an SUV while trying to cross Florida Blvd.
Police say the driver of the SUV was not ticketed and did not show signs of impairment.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
