BATON ROUGE – Authorities say one man is dead and another male was injured in a construction site accident involving a concrete pump off Burbank Drive Friday morning. 

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office responded to the accident around 6:10 Friday morning. 

Authorities say 26-year-old Jose Pineda-Ayala of Baton Rouge was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries, but is expected to survive.
