PORT ALLEN - Authorities say a second man wanted in connection to a Wednesday Port Allen home invasion was arrested Thursday afternoon.

Deputies say 23-year-old Daquan Washington was arrested Thursday afternoon. He faces Principle to Armed Robbery and Principle to Home Invasion charges.

According to investigators, 32-year-old Kelly Cline and other men tried to bust down a door at a home in the 2000 block of North Lobdell. Deputies say Cline demanded cash and other items from the homeowner. When it wasn't enough, the homeowner offered to go back and get more items out of his car. That's when he came back with a gun and opened fire on Cline, shooting him in the chest. Cline died at the scene.

We've learned Cline was familiar to law enforcement, but court records indicated he did not have any prior convictions.

"His last visit to our jail was January of this year," Col. Richie Johnson with the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office said. "We're not releasing the details of his priors, but we have had prior run ins with him."

Friday, we found the man who multiple sources identified as the homeowner who shot and killed Cline. That homeowner did not want to go on camera.

Residents in the trailer park said the commotion was impossible to ignore.

"I just heard two shots, it woke me up," Resident Donald Walters said.

Tonight, the search for the other men continues. The homeowner who shot Cline was not charged.
