Livingston Parish public schools closed, other closures
LIVINGSTON – All public schools in Livingston Parish are closed Monday due to several flooded roads.
According to a statement from Livingston Parish Public Schools, the flooded roads are causing possible unsafe bus travels.
“The safety of our children and employees is an immediate concern for us in conditions like this,” the statement says.
The school system says all 12-month employees will report to their work sites after daylight hours if they can travel their work site safely.
The Livingston Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness tells WBRZ that there were no reported injuries and no major damage from Monday morning's storm.
