BATON ROUGE - The EBR Coroner responded to an apartment complex on the corner of Bellemont and Victoria Drive after a body was found.

Police say that at this point they don’t believe the death has anything to do with recent flooding. It is suspected the person could have died from a medical issue before the flooding even began. More details are expected from the coroner’s office soon.

The Bellemont Victoria apartment complex was evacuated during flooding with Thursday being the first day people were going back to assess the storm damage.
