BELLE ROSE – A man has been arrested and charged with first degree rape in connection to an incident involving a juvenile. 

According to a news release, the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office arrested 20-year-old Terrance Dupaty.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a complaint of a rape which allegedly occurred in a north Assumption Parish home.  

The complainant told Assumption Parish detectives that the suspect entered her bedroom and was overpowered by Dupaty. 

Detectives obtained information during the initial and subsequent investigation which corroborated the victim’s statements.

Dupaty was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Jail.
