PORT ALLEN – Yet another deadly wreck has occurred in a notorious area of I-10.

Emergency crews were on the scene of the crash on I-10 East just before the La. 415 exit. The crash happened shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday.

One person died, sources said, and two others were hurt. 

A passenger vehicle rear-ended an 18-wheeler, WBRZ was told. 

The crash area is prone to wrecks.  In many crashes, people are killed.  

It's such a problem, area law enforcement officials have become outraged, and one labeled it "the Devil's triangle."  

After a series of wrecks in 2017, WBRZ discussed safety measures with the head of DOTD.  Then, the state agreed to investigate ways of adding additional safety measures to the area.  Click HERE to read more.
