BRUSLY - In their first year in Class 4A, Brusly finished with a productive season going 6-4 with a first round exit in the playoffs. This year will be their second year playing up in class and they'll be doing it with two quarterbacks. Sophomores Cordell Oxley and Coy Purpera are expected to both see playing time under center.

It's a team that returns 9 total starters and athleticism up front with a solid run game could see the Panthers push through that first round playoff ceiling from 2022.

ST. AMANT - Despite a 4-6 campaign in 2022, St. Amant still has a ton to be excited about this upcoming fall. Head coach David Oliver will look to two athletic quarterbacks in senior Chase Kelly and sophomore Cooper Babin for the offensive firepower. Both Babin's dad and uncle played quarterback at St. Amant and collegiately at Southeastern.

Koen Rock should be the next Gator defensive lineman to play at the college level. He'll anchor a strong front seven that looks to improve on the one win St. Amant tallied in district play last season.

BATON ROUGE - In Ryan Cook's first year as the new head coach of Scotlandville, the Hornets didn't miss a beat from their usual dominance. Going 7-5, with a loss to Edna Karr in the second round of the playoffs.

This year will look a little bit different for the Hornets. Quarterback Zae Teasette has graduated and is now at Southern slinging it around for Eric Dooley. The offense as a whole, returns just 4 starters from that 7 win team a year ago.

Ryan Cook gets 10 starters back total and will rely on an athletic defense and backup turned starter Javonte Cossett to take over at quarterback.
