Sights and sounds: The LSU Tiger Pep Band

BATON ROUGE - While you're feasting your eyes on the LSU basketball games, you should feast your ears on the Bengal Brass.
The Tigers Pep Band is half the size of the one at the LSU football games, but twice the fun. We sat down with them at the Ole Miss game to see how they make that sweet music.
"We are the leasion between the teams and the fans," Dennis Llinas, D.M.A. Associate Director of Bands said. "Puping up the teams and pumping up the fans."
Third-year trombone player Chris Stephens said he joined the Pep Band because he wanted to support more than the football team.
"It's been great, I love it," Stephen says. "Hoops is more special, more intimiate. Closer to the action and closer to the student section."
"The woodwinds are by ourselves," Senior clarinet player Polly Guan said. "We can make jokes, it's small but we get to know each other well. We're all goofy, tease each other and do what we love."
