ZACHARY – Five Zachary schools were put on lockdown after a teacher heard gunshots near Zachary High School.
Police Chief David McDavid said a teacher by the school’s football field heard two gunshots and a ricochet. Police later found a bullet hole near the training room in the athletic building.
Zachary High, Northwestern Middle, Rollins Place Elementary, Rollins Place Early Learning Center and Northwestern Elementary are on lockdown.
Zachary Police said no injuries have been reported. The lockdowns were lifted around 1 p.m. Monday.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
