Culprit destroying signs of Baker police chief candidate

BAKER - More than $2000 in political funding is down the drain for Darryl Rainwater, who's running for the chief of police in Baker.
An unknown culprit, or culprits has started damaging campaign signs at the beginning of this month and Rainwater told News 2 it's costing him money.
The most recent hit happened Thursday and whoever is behind the crime is splitting the signs in half.
"The first time I filed a police report, we had 11 signs that was damaged on Groom Road," said Rainwater.
Rainwater's opponent, Carl Dunn, said he's had some of his signs removed from their designated areas, but none of them have been cut in half.
"Even if a sign comes up missing, he put another sign down. But this is a good clean campaign...matter of fact, I'm pretty sure that it will stay that way," said Dunn.
Rainwater said a reward will be given to anyone with information on who is damaging the signs.
