Sheriff: Work release inmate left Livingston Parish job site, tormented estranged wife in St. Tammany
LIVINGSTON PARISH - A work release inmate who abandoned his job site in Livingston Parish was later found harassing his estranged wife in another parish, officials said.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, 33-year-old Keith Bickham was working at Lock5, LLC, a private work release facility in Livingston Parish, when he apparently drove off in one of the company's trucks Tuesday.
The sheriff's office says Bickham later showed up at a Lacombe-area home where his estranged wife and her child were staying. The inmate allegedly forced his way inside and pushed the victim to the floor. He then followed her to her place of employment before fleeing.
St. Tammany authorities coordinated with Livingston Parish deputies to apprehend Bickham.
Bickham is currently incarcerated at the Livingston Parish Detention Center. The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office has placed a detainer on Bickham, and he will later be booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on charges of home invasion and domestic violence battery with child endangerment.
