BATON ROUGE - Presidential candidate Donald Trump addressed crowd of what was estimated to be 10,000 people at the Baton Rouge River Center Thursday.

Trump, a republican, took the stage around 7:45 pm Thursday.

Ahead of his address, surface streets in the area were packed - many at a standstill. Traffic was also stopped on I-110 southbound as people waited to exit to Government Street.

Trump spoke for just over an hour about several issues, including the economy, and President Barack Obama. and why he decided to run for president.

"We are in a failing country. Not as bad as now, have you looked at the stock market? We're in a bubble folks watch what happens, it's what i have been saying. We are totally reliant on Asia and different countries, watch what happens, it's gonna be not pretty" Trump said at the rally.

Right now Trump is leading the Republican primary.

Louisiana's presidential primary election will be held on March fifth. Republicans and Democrats will be able to choose the candidate they would like to see in the White House.
