VIDEO: 3 wanted for looting $34,000 from Walmart after flood
BATON ROUGE - East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s detectives are looking for three suspects believed to be behind looting at the O’Neal Lane Walmart on Aug. 14.
Detectives said they responded to the Walmart after they received a looting complaint while floodwater had yet to recede throughout the Baton Rouge area. Deputies learned that the three subjects waded through waist deep water to get to the store before entering through a front emergency door.
According to EBRSO, the three men entered store and forced entry into several locked cases in the jewelry and electronics departments, stealing multiple items. Investigators estimate the total theft in excess of $34,000.
