Update: Tiger baseball beats Sam Houston St. 8-5 with big four run 8th inning

The LSU Tiger baseball team rallied from a 5-4 deficit to beat Sam Houston St. 8-5 with the help of a big 8th inning four run explosion.

LSU took an 8-5 lead with the help of some Bearkat miscues that would lead to an unearned run, a wild pitch for a run, an RBI single and a RBI walk. 

Tiger pitcher Aaron Nola rebounded from a shaky start in the first inning when his team gave up five unearned runs.  Nola pitched threw the seventh inning turning the ball over to closer Chris Cotton.

The LSU Tigers will now play in the championship game on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m..

Sam Houston St. will play ULL in an earlier elimination game at 2:00 p.m. with the loser going home and the winner advancing to the night game.
