UPDATE: Governor Jindal involved in traffic crash Sunday afternoon

BATON ROUGE- Governor Bobby Jindal was inside a black suburban this afternoon when a box truck pulled out in front of his SUV, and side swiped the suburban he was riding in. 

A State Trooper, part of the Governor's Security detail, was following behind the Governor in another black SUV and crashed into a utility pole on Nicholson Drive, according to State Police.

The crash happened just before 5:30pm at Nicholson Drive and Oklahoma Street.

State Police tell News 2 the Governor is doing fine and was not injured in the wreck.

The driver of the box truck was ticketed.
