2 hospitalized after wreck with underage drunk driver
BATON ROUGE - Police said an underage drunk driver sent two motorcyclists to the hospital with broken bones early Sunday morning.
20-year-old Joelle Stoker was booked on charges of failure to maintain control, vehicular negligent injuring, reckless operation and DWI.
The accident happened on I-10 East near College Drive at around 2:54 a.m. Police said Stoker weaved into the path of a motorcycle carrying a driver and passenger and caused the wreck.
Police said Stoker admitted to drinking and showed obvious signs of impairment. The report indicates her blood alcohol content was 0.172.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to an area hospital with possible fractures of the leg and hip, while the passenger suffered a broken leg and hip.
