NEW ROADS - Deputies arrested two people Thursday for their involvement in the shooting of a 26-year-old on October 8th.

According to the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a home on Delta Place Road to find a man lying on the ground in the yard. The man was later identified as Joshua Porche, 26, of New Roads. 

Police arrested 19-year-old Jacobey Thomas, and he also received charges of second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. Additionally, a 17-year-old female also was arrested and charged with principal to second degree murder.
