HAMMOND - Two men were arrested after exchanging gunfire during an argument Monday afternoon in Hammond.

This story was first reported by our news partner Action News 17. Officers with the Hammond Police Department were nearby and heard the shots.

They responded to the scene in Hayden Village and witnesses identified to the two shoorters as 45-year-old Larry Pierre and 37-year-old Willie Turk. Neither man was injured.

Pierre is still in the Tangipahoa Parish Jail at the time of this post. Turk, meanwhile, has bonded out.
