BATON ROUGE - Three apartments were damaged after a kitchen fire Saturday morning.

The Baton Rouge Fire Department received a call around 4:30 a.m for a fire at 460 Community College Dr.

Firefighters arrived on scene to find Unit 1 engulfed in flames. The fire reached the attic before being brought under control.

That apartment was a total loss. The fire reached two other apartments, with one receiving water damage.

The Red Cross was on the scene assisting four displaced people.

BRFD says the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. Investigators do not suspect foul play.
