WALKER - The estate of the late television star Donna Douglas will be up for auction Saturday in Livingston Parish.

Douglas is known for her role as Elly May Clampett on "The Beverly Hillbillies." She died of pancreatic cancer in January 2015 in the Baton Rouge area. Now her belongings will go to the highest bidders at Southern Heirs Auction.

"She was a very religious lady. A very personal lady, and we feel privileged to sell off her stuff," said auctioneer David Bowman.

While none of Douglas' critters are up for auction, you could walk away with a variety of items from memorabilia to crystal. There's a little bit of everything for everyone. The big ticket item is a 5-piece bedroom set rumored to have been given to Douglas by the "King" himself, Elvis Presley.

"I am sure there's people that are willing to just pay whatever it takes to get this to put in their home," said Bowman. "It just depends on who's here, who wants it and what it is."

Fans of Douglas are likely to place bids to win unique items like a 1963 TV Guide award, autographed pictures and fur coats worn by Douglas. Bowman says fans have called from all around the country about the auction.

"All of her fans that want to know if we have room or if we take telephone or internet bids. We will take telephone bids, but we prefer on site," he said.

Typically around 200 people attend auctions at Southern Heirs, but the Donna Douglas items are expected to draw in more than 400 people. The money from the auction will go to Douglas' son.

The auction will also include items from three other estates. You can preview some of the items on the Southern Heirs website or in person Saturday from 8-10 a.m. The auction will begin at 10 a.m.
