Teenagers jumped at abandoned Six Flags
NEW ORLEANS - Two teenage girls were robbed while taking pictures at the abandoned Six Flags amusement park, WWL TV reported Monday.
The attack happened Sunday around sunset, police said. The girls, both 17, were jumped by four men with guns. The guys stole the girls' purses, cell phones and cash.
The girls were able to describe the men to police and said the attackers drove away in a white, 4-door sedan.
The park, which has been closed since Hurricane Katrina, has been a magnet for trespassers, sightseers and photographers despite several signs posted against trespassing.
