Stolen credit cards used at multiple stores in Glen Oaks area
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff’s deputies are looking to identify a man and a woman seen using a credit card that was stolen from a Baton Rouge area school last month.
Reports indicate the victim told detectives that her purse was stolen on Oct. 21, and both of her credit/debit cards were used at multiple businesses in and around the Glen Oaks area.
The victim told investigators that the school was able to review security camera footage and determined that the school’s surveillance system had captured a man and a woman in the act of stealing her purse. The video shows the woman enter the school with one purse and then exit the building with two purses in tow.
Detectives reviewed security camera footage submitted by the school and compared it to footage from the stores where the victim’s credit cards were used. The footage shows the same man and woman that were captured by the school’s video surveillance equipment making unauthorized purchases.
