BATON ROUGE - The Southwestern Athletic Conference named Southern University's Aaron Tiller their defensive player of the week for his performance against Alabama A&M this weekend.

Tiller had five tackles, with four coming behind the line of scrimmage. He also picked up three sacks in the Jaguar's 46-7 win over the Bulldogs.

Tiller leads the SWAC in sacks with 10 after this weekend's win. He also forced fumbles on two of those sacks.

The next game for the Jaguars is the Bayou Classic against Grambling State at the Superdome on Nov. 28.
