HAMMMOND - The Southeastern Lions are off to a roaring start in Southland Conference play as the baseball team remains perfect following a series sweep over Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
The Lions improved to 9-0 in the Southland on the strength of some great pitching: the Lions shut out the Islanders twice in 3 games, and only allowed 1 run the entire weekend.
In the process, the Lions extended their winning streak to 12 straight.
The Lions will take a break from league play as they host the Southern Jaguars on Tuesday with first pitch at 6pm in Hammond.
