A strong storm system will continue to slowly move through the Mississippi River Valley and Southeast today.

The NWS Storm Prediction Center expects damaging winds, hail and isolated short-lived tornadoes in east Texas, Louisiana and southwest Mississippi. Rainfall amounts in this region will also be

significant; many locations will receive 1 to 3 inches of rain, locally heavier amounts possible.
