In his junior season at Vanderbilt University, Jones averages 13.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game and was named First Team All-SEC. He was named to that team as well as the All-Defensive Team as a sophomore. Jones scored in double-figures in 26 out of 33 games for the Commodores and registered 7 double-doubles.

As a senior at Scotlandville Magnet, Jones averaged 15.4 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks a game was a 2-time state champion and the 5A Player of the Year.

Jones joins a talented Golden State Warriors team who have made back-to-back NBA Finals appearances. They won it all in 2015 and came within one game of repeating this year.
