ST. GABRIEL - A 9-year-old boy died in an ATV wreck that also left a 15-year-old girl hurt over the weekend. 

The St. Gabriel Police Department said the two were riding along Point Clair Road around 10:15 a.m. Saturday when the vehicle crashed. Both were rushed to a hospital, with the teenager being taken by helicopter. 

The boy, identified as 9-year-old Izaiah Prejean, died in the hospital about an hour later. Izaiah's school, Gibson Elementary, posted online Monday mourning his death. 

No other information about the crash or the other victim's condition was available Monday morning.
