CLINTON – Family members of a missing toddler who vanished from a Clinton home marked a somber anniversary Sunday.

Wesley Dale Morgan disappeared without a trace from his Clinton home 15 years ago Sunday, May 15, 2016. He was last seen May 15, 2001 at his home off of Hwy. 63 near Bluff Creek.

Morgan’s disappearance sparked an unprecedented search. Crews from around the state, region and nation fanned out looking for the toddler who slipped away from his caregiver’s sight.

Last month, dozens of law enforcement officers and FBI agents searched the woods near Clinton, looking for clues into Morgan’s disappearance.

It has been previously reported that investigators believe Morgan may have been given away or sold. In 2008, Morgan’s mother, Ruby Renee Havard, was charged for trying to sell a child, but those charges were later dropped.

If you know any information that could help detectives solve the case, call the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-683-5459 or 1-800-CALL-FBI. Wesley Dale Morgan may also go by the name “Dean.”
