Rapper Boosie released from jail after being booked on drug, firearm charges in Georgia
NEWNAN, GA - Rapper Boosie Badazz has bonded out of jail after he was caught with drugs and a loaded gun in his car Monday.
The Baton Rouge native, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, was taken into custody following a traffic stop. The vehicle was allegedly swerving in and out of traffic, and nearly sideswiped another car.
The deputy that conducted the traffic stop says a loaded firearm was found in the car, along with marijuana.
Hatch and his passenger, identified as Antonio Allen, were taken into custody. Early reports initially misidentified Allen as the former New York football player, but he was later confirmed to be someone who merely shared the same name.
The two were each booked into the Coweta County Jail. WSB-TV reports Hatch has since posted his $3,500 bond.
