BATON ROUGE - Police say a man was shot by his stepson on Laurel St. Tuesday evening.

Around 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, police were called to the 3000 block of Laurel St. in reference to a shooting. The victim, reportedly the suspects stepdad, was shot by the stepson in the back, according to police.

The stepdad was transported by EMS to a local hospital. His injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
