Man arrested after deadly shooting in Plaquemine Sunday
PLAQUEMINE - A man allegedly killed someone after an ongoing dispute escalated to gunfire Sunday night.
The Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened just before 8 p.m. near the corner of Barrow Street and Hebert Street. Authorities found Telly Jackson Jr. dead from a gunshot wound.
The sheriff's office arrested the suspected shooter, 22-year-old Bretton Williams, on Monday. The department said the two had a previous confrontation, and Williams fired several shots at Jackson when they met again.
