BATON ROUGE - Detectives with the Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) are investigating the shooting death of a 36-year-old man who was killed Wednesday evening.
Police say Clarence Augustus lost his life after being shot within the 200 block of South 20th Street, near North Boulevard, around 5:57 p.m.
Following the shooting, Augustus was rushed to an area hospital, where he passed away due to his injuries.
Officials have not released information related to a motive or to any suspects who may have been involved.
