Person injured in shooting sought help at local library
BATON ROUGE - Authorities responded to the Carver Branch Library Saturday afternoon when an injured person came into the building looking for help.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the victim was initially shot in the 700 block of Terrace Avenue around 3 p.m. where the library is also located.
When the victim was shot he went into the library asking for help. The victim's gunshot wound is non-life-threatening.
During shooting the Carver Branch Library was also hit in the process.
No one else was hurt, but the building's glass windows were shattered due to the gunfire.
EBR Parish Library posted on Twitter that the Carver Branch will be closed on Sunday to repair broken glass and clean up blood from the incident.
