New police chief to be named in Baton Rouge today
BATON ROUGE - East Baton Rouge Parish Mayor- President Kip Holden will announce his choice to lead the Baton Rouge Police Department.
The mayor will hold a press conference at 10am Wednesday.
The finalists, all veterans with the department, are Interim Chief Carl Dabadie, Captain Carl Dunn and Captain Noel Salamoni.
The police department has been without a permanent chief since Dewayne White was fired in February.
