BATON ROUGE – According to Entergy, power has been restored to most after thousands of residents were out of power on Monday morning.

The Entergy power outage map showed that about 4,460 residents were without power from Industriplex Boulevard near the Airline/Jefferson area to Highland Road. Additionally, residents in the Louisiana Country Club and residents near the Santa Maria Golf Course were without power.

According to Entergy, the outages were due to equipment failure at a substation.

The Entergy power outage map showed that outages were restored to most residents by Monday around 10:30 a.m.

As of 11 a.m. about 273 residents were still without power near the Santa Maria Golf Course area. Entergy said that power should be restored to those residents by 1 p.m.
