BATON ROUGE - New data released by the state Monday says 20,316 people have survived the coronavirus in Louisiana.
The reported recoveries account for most of the more than 29,600 confirmed cases in Louisiana since the outbreak first began back in March. The Department of Health says the new data reflects the number of people who have seemingly recovered as recently as Saturday.
The state released its first official account of those who had seemingly recovered in late March, announcing that almost 15,000 had recovered at the time.
