BATON ROUGE - Detectives are still searching for a man who killed a Good Samaritan who tried to fight him off when he was allegedly spotted attacking a woman.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said the shooting happened on North 31st Street just off Choctaw Drive on Oct. 29.

Randall Parker, 64, died after he was shot trying to fend off a woman's attacker. Parker was originally reported to have non-life-threatening injuries, but officers said on Nov. 2 that he had ultimately passed away.

Wednesday, detectives posted new images of two vehicles driving away from the scene caught by surveillance video. Detectives hope this new information will help the homicide investigation.

Anyone with information about the shooting should contact BRPD at (225) 389-4869 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
