BATON ROUGE- Mckinley Senior High is the oldest high school established for African-Americans in Louisiana. Former faculty, staff and students are getting ready to travel back to the school to celebrate its homecoming celebration.
This year the school will be kicking off homecoming week with a parade prior to the actual football game, it will be held on Saturday, September 26th at 11 a.m.
More than 3,000 people have attended the homecoming celebration every year since 2010, and this year Mckinley hopes to have the biggest turnout ever.
Mckinley's homecoming game is at home against Central Baptist High School on Friday, October 2nd. Kick-off is at 7 p.m.
