BATON ROUGE - A man pled guilty to a 2022 bank robbery, saying that he had several debts to pay off.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said it arrested Floyd Hose Jr., 38, after he allegedly walked into Cottonport Bank on Corporate Boulevard in December 2022 and passed a note to the teller demanding money and advising them not to say anything.

The teller then handed Hose a bait pack of cash, which Hose turned down and demanded real money. According to arrest documents, Hose then turned his hips toward the teller and insinuated he had a weapon, threatening to harm them if they refused to comply.

The teller then gave Hose $9,605 from the register and Hose fled the bank. Officers were able to locate him at his apartment complex overnight and arrest him.

Hose was booked on first-degree robbery. He confessed to the robbery and said he had committed the crime to pay off several debts that he had.
