LSU softball makes quick work of Lady Demons
BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tiger softball team snapped their four-game losing skid in convincing fashion as they made quick work of the visiting Northwestern St. Lady Demons on Tuesday night at Tiger Park.
LSU scored six runs in the fourth inning and run-ruled the Lady Demons by a 8-0 final score in five innings.
Tiger pitcher Allie Walljasper helped her own cause with a grand slam in the fourth and then threw 4.2 innings to earn her 12th win of the season in the circle.
“It was nice to get back on the positive side after a rough weekend," Tiger head coach Beth Torina said following the game. "We were able to get our confidence back at the plate and come out swinging big. It was fun to see this game and see Allie Walljasper have a great day. She’s a great person.”
