LSU softball falls to Florida in final game
BATON ROUGE – Even with a rally in the sixth inning, the Florida Gators proved to be too much for the LSU Tigers softball team.
No. 6 LSU (26-8, 3-6 SEC) was down by four points but cut Florida lead to just two in the sixth inning. The Gators responded by scoring two more runs in the seventh inning to end the game 6-2.
Despite the loss, LSU softball coach Beth Torina was proud of the offense.
“It was nice to see our offense show up and score a couple of runs against Florida’s amazing pitchers,” Torina said.
